Manufacturing processes

We define layer structure, curing windows and inserts, ensure paintable surfaces (optional gel coat) and document reproducible quality in short cycles. Process documents (e.g. CoC, test reports) and SOP accompaniment are part of our scope of delivery.

Tailored prepregs

Prepregs are reinforcing fibers pre-impregnated with resin system. This ensures a high and constant quality of the composite material.

Tailor-made prepregs with Fibryx natural fibres have significant advantages over standard prepregs on the market:

  • Complete layer construction: we already supply the material with the complete layer structure, so that the manual production effort is reduced by stacking and inserting individual layers
  • Close to final contour: Our prepregs are tailored close to the final contour of the component, minimizing waste and manufacturing costs
  • Material optimizedWe adapt fiber and resin systems exactly to your requirements for the optimal balance between mechanical properties, weight and costs.

Panels

Our sandwich panels combine two layers of natural fibre composite with a lightweight middle layer, the core. This design combines high mechanical properties with low weight.

Material requirements can be designed flexibly: we can produce cover layers of fabric, unidirectional fabric or nonwoven in any thickness. We use different core materials such as recycled PET, balsa wood or cardboard with thicknesses between 5 and 50 mm.
